Nigeria

A conglomerate of backward, illiterate, superstitious, fearful and overly religious people. Divided by tribe, ethnicity, religion and held together only by poverty and suffering.
A people that can never speak up for their rights nor do so with one voice, neither their so revered religious leaders too.
Nigeria, it's people, it's past and present leaders, it's religious heads, everything about Nigeria has failed and is a failure.
I regret being a Nigerian and always will.

How I lost my religion (as a Nigerian)

A Nigerian and religion are like a Siamese twin, one inseparable from the other. In a country of over 200+ million citizens, more than 80% identify as members of one religious group or the other. Most religion inclusive of the ones practiced by Nigerians preach the tenets of brotherly love, truth, justice, godliness, and general humanity to one another. Knowing all this makes me and some others like me to wonder, why Nigeria is in such a sorry state as it is today and getting worse, it's citizens fleeing en masse to other nations far and near, death, destruction, corruption, ritual killings, jungle justice, mob killings, violent robberies, nepotism and other vices too numerous to mention being the order of the day. And the irony is that all this vices are perpetuated by the same people who practice one or the other religions found in Nigeria. A tale of suicide and a failed country

Suicide and death have become the solace of many a Nigerian, citizens battered, depressed and frustrated have now reached a point where death and rest from the failures of the country and it's system have become their only respite. Yet the government and leaders in their characteristic moronic ways are neither ready to respond or do anything about the abounding deaths of it's citizens. Being a youth in Nigeria and not having your top plans being to flee the country, then you're a failed youth because no matter whatever you achieve the system soonest catches up with you and most times in a deathly and grave way.
